This is number 14 in the series, the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Amusing title.
I have really enjoyed these books, but I had not read one in a while. I’m behind several it seems. Need to catch up.
As some other reviewers have noted, this is not one of the better books in the series. I think it has been my least favorite; seemed like not much was going on. Still, it was ok.
Mma Makutsi has a baby who Charlie thinks is wonderful, a mystery about an heir to a farm and a new business being ruined by allegations by an unknown person. Is Mma Makutsi’s nemesis Violet S involved?
That gives you an idea of the story line. The mysteries are solved but the book ends before the follow through for some reason.
Read it for continuity at least. I’m starting the next in the series today.
